Portrait Photographer based in Newbury | Covering Berkshire, Oxfordshire & London
A photo session is a dialogue. During which I take your soul to the surface.
I create portraits that look natural and reflect your personality.
I understand that stepping in front of a camera can feel daunting. You may worry about looking photogenic, but portrait photography isn’t about perfection; it’s about personality. Everyone has it, and my goal is to capture yours.
I take the time to get to know you, understand who you are, and bring out the qualities that make you unique. Each portrait is a reflection of your personality, created in a way that helps you feel comfortable, confident, and at ease.
I see every person I photograph as a city I’ve never visited. I explore, notice the small, distinctive details, and uncover the little gems that make it special. That’s exactly how I approach portrait photography – finding the subtle qualities that make you stand out.

“Yan’s talent in photography is remarkable. The photos he took of us during our special day were simply amazing, and told a story that we are excited to tell our families and friends. Because of his photos, we will never lose these powerful memories. I would recommend Yan as a photographer to any client who is looking to capture a story, moment, or emotions. He is second to none in his passion for photography, and the photos that he gave us were breathtaking. Yan is incredibly artistic and talented. You couldn’t be luckier than to have him as your photographer.”
Headshots
First impressions on LinkedIn, your company website, or a conference badge happen in seconds, and a phone selfie or an outdated photo rarely does you justice. I offer professional headshot sessions for business owners, executives, and professionals across West Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and the wider Thames Valley. Sessions are relaxed and efficient, designed to put you at ease quickly rather than leave you standing stiffly in front of a camera.
